You're wrong on all three points. We had no gasoline shortage until Cheney was picked. Grey Davis was predicted to be the #1 contender to Bush in 2004. He's handsome, powerful, popular and can raise the funds. El Paso NG was one of the most heinous gougers. Along with Williams. It doesn't take more personnel to turn the taps back on. Expect them both to be deeply investigated. Also the California NG prices have NOT come down much despite the supply glut. Gouging continues to this day though it's summer and we use less NG. You can search for all the excuses you like but there's smoke pouring out of the hole and that means a lot of fire below.
