Whitecliff(aka Tony) If you are a engineer I'd expect you'd be able to comprehend what fyodor is pointing out, but you continue to ignore all posts that prove you wrong.

Seems you're just a FUDster.

Fyo, Re: The runtime results we present here are with the machines set to maximize battery life.

My guess is that they measured battery runtime in "battery optimization mode" (PIII-M: 733 MHz, A4: 300 MHz) and the rest of the benchmarks with full performance (PIII-M: 1.13 GHz, A4: 1.0 GHz). Otherwise the benchmarks scores would be much too higher for a 300 MHz A4. That Compaq's and HP's A4 implementation are underperformers is no secret (e.g. c't came to the same conclusion).

Fyo, >According to the PC mag benchmarks, Tualatin 1.13 GHz thumps the A4 1 GHz soundly. Read it and weep.

>>No, you have misunderstood the results.

From the link: The runtime results we present here are with the machines set to maximize battery life.

Well, people are going to look at those performance numbers in PC mag and take away from it that the Intel based notebooks are superior. That's the bottom line.
