Don, Looking over various indices, I find it very interesting that bearish reversal sticks from last week are being negated this week through today....From dark cloud cover to bearish engulfing...I'm looking for a sell off end of the week...

There was an article on the front page of the biz section of the Washington Post today. It seems an SEC investigation of a few big houses have turned up a few analists selling at a good profit issues they had a buy rating on. Apparently one even had the audaicty to short something he or she was pumping.

I have to thank my mentors for instilling into me the uselessness of that bunch lest I discover it the expensive way ;)

Couldn't agree more Don. I was short QQQ when she made the statement and watched NDX cross my down trend line to the up side and also watched Softie turn and go up. Barf

I don't know if the market would have done this anyway but I just think it is toooooo damn convenient the way these things happen. MANIPU.........

Oh well, don't fight the tape, closed out my QQQ poooots and went to cash and will live to fight another day. gggg (watch it sink like a rock now!gggg)

whaddya got agin Ralphie? <vbg>

I keep thinking about AJC's supertanker analogy ... such a rapid drop in revenues for many tech firms ... rapid layoffs ... rapid profit erosion ...

Yeah, a rapid turnaround ... that makes sense ...

Everyone knew the NDX / COMPX were bubbles back in early 2000. So a precipitous drop there was no surprise, but the drop in business for these firms ...

What happened to JIT? Is this thing really driven by inventories? If not what precipitated such a rapid change in the supertanker -- all the while the consumer is continuing to spend, spend, spend ... or so they say.

Did a couple of short-term interest rate increases cause this? If not, will interest-rate decreases change the mindset of those who manage real businesses?

I say, throw that whale on the ash heap! She doesn't even know the right questions -- how can she have any useful answers?

Back to your regularly scheduled T & A ...
