You forget what Carter was really like. Remember, Carter had a reputation as a mean, nasty, petty and small man before and during his failed presidency.

It was only afterwards that the spin of "saint" Carter began.

Still, compared with Clinton's criminality, Carter was a "saint" as Dems go these days.
