I agree with your position.

And, there just may be opportunities still available in both large and small caps. However, you are situated right, (Portfolio) at this point in time and further investment into this sector over the balance of this year should be with caution and above all - with proper due diligence.

Make sure any special situations are really just that - not someone's doings or philosophies to make a company look good. You normally will find this situation with the mini-caps - not a place to have been involved with and certainly not forward at this point in time.

I also would like to compliment you on your comment to Richard. That was a great post and one which can be used as a reference over the next couple of years. When you're investing into the smaller companies, this is the primary or basic ingredient for making such an investment - proven management with a good track record. Forget all the hype of situations and properties - management is the greater influence on a company's potential.
