Zeev, I'm also a bear, holding only puts right now without any upside hedge.

2078 held, and there may be one more weak run at it. The beginning of the month pension fund inflows combined with that SOXX upgrade seemed to goose the index past 2057, but real strength is needed to get above 2078, IMO. I don't see it in volume and MSFT sitting this one out.

What we may be seeing is the bottoming process being strung out. Instead of August we may get the bottom in September or October after some agonizing trips like the last 2-days.

Zeev....I'm back to cash again myself here...but it is a tough call which way we go. Have to guess it will be a quick ride once it begins either way though...tuna

I note MER is up almost the same as AMAT - I guess what's good for AMAT is good for MER?! Seems to confirm the skeptics' view that the upgrade does at least as much for MER as it does for the sector. :>)
