If you want to rely on the merril report to feel better about your amat investment that is fine. The point that I was trying to make is that I don't think we can place any reasonable reliance on what any of these analysts are saying at this point in time. There is conflicting data out there and I certainly don't know what will happen to amat (and other companies in the sector) over the next 90 days which, incidentally, is the "operational time frame" of analysts -regardless of what they say about the "long term". I do know that longer term amat and others in the industry will not go under; that they will not only survive but they will prosper. And the stock will appreciate from these levels accordingly.
