Remember that MSFT had also been a bit of a defensive play during the tech wreck of this year. That is also working against it as it heads in the opposite direction to the Nasdaq. It is also owned by large funds even ones that avoided technology in general.
Investors tend to want to look at potential economic rebound plays that had been beaten up in a big way..and that means most stocks on the Nasdaq.

Positive news such as a deal with the DOJ could be a potential catalyst near term.
IMHO, there is little doubt that it rallies into next earnings report but that is still a few months away.

However, I don't see it tank into the 50s. Little potential on the downside. At worse it hangs around in the mid 60s is how I see it. It has been around the mid 60s for a while now and could be ready to resume its climb. I have decided to buy other techs instead because I expect more upside on the cheaper stocks on a percentage basis.
