"Lack of customers for Rambus' faster chips" This is what I've said: one thing is to make faster chips that are fine on a tester, a little other thing is to make a RIMM of those chips to work on a laboratory workbench, and totally different thing is to mass produce those systems with variability of suppliers and other manufacturing variations. Especially if you are on the margin of signal propagation and degradation. That's another reason why there are no takers for "faster chips". - Ali
