"...cost of driving automobiles?"

Is that supposed to be thought provoking; because I'm pretty sure there are more people who eat fish than those who screw automobiles.

"Is the social cost of sex among people who are "going steady" greater than the social cost of driving automobiles?"

The social cost of people driving automobiles is a plus not a minus. Unless you are talking about people who do not follow the rules of the road (which would be an illicit use of the priviledge).

The social cost of sex among people going steady is...a long list, at the top of which are the thirty percent of our population being born of illegitimate relations....are you kidding me?
