Casaubon: OT I wish it were against the law to borrow from the Soc Sec fund. Reagan prompted a increase in the social security tax back in the eighties to offset the short fall expected as baby boomers began to retire. We the boomers were paying extra now to remove the excessive future bourdon from the following generations with a smaller work force. The problem was solved. However, all that extra money was just borrowed and spent... Who's at fault and or how the above is all going to effect our country would be better discussed on one of the politico threads...<g> Regards, LG
