Both Zone Alarm (which is free from their website) and Black Ice (around $60) work pretty good.

>a "firewall system" for a home computer?<

Try posting that question on this board, and they might be able to help you.

Subject 22366

It is my understanding that the type of firewall depends on several factors, such as is the connection a modem connection or do you use a DSL router with shared drives? Link System is one firewall for a DSL router, and Zone Alarm might be one for a modem connection. Probably the most important factor in keeping information such as a credit card # safe, is to always make sure that this information is only reported when using a secure connection.
