PMC-Sierra Gets Boost From News It Will Be Added To S&P 500


17:55 PM EST, Aug 01, 2001 -- PMC-Sierra (PMCS) is rising
sharply on REDIBook after Standard & Poor's announced this afternoon that
PMC-Sierra will replace Quaker Oats (OAT) in the S&P 500 after the close of
the regular session on Thursday. OAT is gaining 13 percent to $99.50 on
REDIBook following the acquisition news. PMCS data below.
