alomex, productivity is not = to savings. computers did increase productivity growth, but only by about 15-20%. iow, about 2 - 2.5% growth went to 2.25% - 2.75% growth.

the measurement system was changed b/c the low contribution of computers *shocked* economists. rather than apply good science, they jacked with the numbers. after all, that is much easier than learning the truth.

Hi: Help dispense the myth -- point me to a couple of pre chain weighted studies that show computers generating productivity gains on the part of users -- serious request, really.
