Charles/Very OT Dante's doing a excellent job. Well up in the league standings in goals scored and has some assists too, I think. John Harkes' a huge acquisition for the team. Really strong leader on the field (was our big weakness) as well as an excellent, experienced, high skill player. He was one of the stars of the US 1994 World Cup Team. Big break for the Crew was getting rid of head coach Fitzgerald! Don't ask for my opinion of that guy on a family thread.<lol> Know for a fact that some players left the team because of the negative coaching during the past several years. 2 of them worked with the boys individually, for awhile. So we know exactly what happened. Will leave it at that. Interesting that our pro retired a year ago April at only 32. Never said much about it. But suddenly, the week after Fitz got the heave ho? The new coach calls him and asks him to help him train the team! Interesting, eh? I thought so.<G> The team has also been playing far better soccer and winning more games since the coaching change.
