Hi CB, We are watching history up close. The powers are certain that deflation is worse than inflation. BOE has cut interest rate again, and the FED will soon as well. We are all asymptotically heading towards zipdotzero interest rate in an effort to head off deflation.

Why did I not see the right answer? It is so simple and elegant. Like I, apparently the folks in 1929 were idiots. The folks in Japan 1990-2001 are brilliant.

The simple answer has been given and accepted. Want economic growth, cut interest rate; again; again, and keep it down. What could be simpler? There is no need for economic theory and practitioners at all. Just study Islam finance – get rid of interest rate altogether :0(

Well, I am unable to endure the suspense of New Ec, and will be buying a bit more Swiss Franc and Euro tomorrow. I really do feel that I am on a boat, reluctantly sailing out of the USD cove, heading into the great unknown, willing to suffer all consequences, just like what a refugee would do.
