Drilling in ANWR is probably a decoy to get the rest of the plan through This could well be true. However, the liberals who are fighting this simply don't have a clue what it is about, and really ought to learn a little about it before they proclaim it to be off-limits. This place [where the drilling is proposed] is not the pristeen, beautiful land you see on CNN. It is a muddy, frozen, uninhabited region that has no better function in life than to support a drilling operation. The Republicans have done a horrible job at getting this message out. This area has been described as follows [paraphrased]: "If you had to pick one place on Earth to be hit by a meteor, this would be it". For the liberals it is just one more misguided cause, as if they need one more.

One would think after 8 long yrs. Ted could bring up an accomplishment Bill actually did while he was president. Harry, how's this....the longest running economic expansion in the history of the US. The one your fearless leader is slowly and painfully bringing to an end [see the link posted by Amy J]. You Reps. will rue the day you heard the name GW Bush. ted
