Hey that's wonderful news! That means that probably Page 39 with the Highest Growth Stocks (HGS) list is probably there as well. I got some exercise this AM crossing the street to the Library to update the HGS list. Here's what I found out:

Of the stocks on my PIC list, four received "Timeliness" upgrades recently. ADPT up one to #3; CCU up one to #4; INTC up one to #4; and SCH up one to #3. Now, #3 in Value Line terms means "market perform" or average performance. Remember that to have made it to my PIC list they had to be rated #5 and still be on the HGS list.

Many of the stocks have been knocked off the HGS list. In fact, only four of the eighteen stocks are now on the HGS. As was predicted by RGAMMON in an earlier post, one stock has returned from being "delisted" - CGNX. It was off the list for a while and is now back on. PIC stocks currently on HGS are CGNX, CSCO, SCH and VOD.

My "Speculation index" is derived from taking the top and bottom of the two lists and adding them up. Say the best performer is up 100% and the "worst" of the best list is up just 50%. That adds up to 150. Now the Worst stock is down 60% and the "best" or the worst is down just 30%. That adds up to negative 90. 150 - 90 = 60. I divide that value by ten to get it into range for the IW, so it would equal a "+6" for that week.

Last week for instance Harmonic, Inc. was up 203.6% (best of best), NEOSE Tech. was up 60.5% (worst of best), Exodus Comm. was down 88% (worst of worst) and Knight Trading down 45.8% (best of worst). So, the total of those would add up to 130.3. I then put up with the Idiot Wave data 13.0 which is Bearish by my interpretation. Anything above 10 is bearish, anything below zero is very bullish.

Thanks for taking the time to look up the information. Now when the library doesn't get the paper version, I know who to contact!! :-)

Best regards, Tom
