Bob,
Not all business folks are suited for the Presidency. Bottom line has a different meaning in politics. It is not always nickles and dimes, sometimes its children and the elderly whose interests need to be considered. So i view Bush with skepticism at times. My view is that his team is building a framework for goverance that will last for a generation if they are successful. That framework includes a US government for US interests plus a pragmatic business like approach to political problems and tax reform. This involves compromise as in the recent tax cuts or now in the prescription drug plan. Let us keep in mind the Keynsian rebates were a democratic idea, not republican although the democrats in their haste to lambaste bush on future deficits have not claimed credit for the popular rebates. How stupid they are. mike
