RE:"P.S. What is really amazing and important in new high
end portables is introduction of 1600x1200 TFT displays."

Last week end, I almost bought an A4 Compaq 1211 CA but before to proceed I told them that I will check the spec. a little more on the net.
What stop me was the 800X600 resolution on this 14". I didn't go back yet at Future Shop check if it was a mistake on the PDF file. Anybody know if this is the max resolution on this notebook.

Ali, thanks for the info. I think what is the most difficult in a presentation is running demanding programs while multi-tasking. It's a pain to have to close out of programs which seem to slow (or crash) the system. In any given presentation, we may have to access databases, run presentation programs, etc, within a ten minute period.

The new screens are fantastic, and much more affordable. Most of the people here who present, and the people who present to us have no idea what a BIOS is. We need user friendly computers - easy to use - right out of the box.
