Thanks for the smartertimes link. That's very interesting and I have it bookmarked. I didn't notice them having anything to say about the article I posted to you, which was straight out of the Administration's playbook. Nor did you. I read the Times, Post, and WSJ just about every day as well as my Dad's hometown paper. I think that citizenship requires a certain level of cultural literacy, which in our society, includes the NYT. That doesn't mean that one should consider it the Bible, only to be aware of what the Times is saying on major issues. Karen
