An interesting reversal could soon take place, wherein GX trades lower than AX. I wonder which is the better bargain on a cost/share basis...

Additional notes:

1) If the First Boston analyst is correct, their numbers imply that GX saw it's existing network (not the acquired pieces they are "concerned" about) revenues DECLINE sequentially by up to 20.65%. This is impossible.

2) The analyst also stated that GX is moving to voice for its revenues in the future. That’s hooey. Look at the financials - data is where the milk and honey is. Again a complete disconnect with reality.

It is important for folks to do the math for themselves before taking any analysts thoughts and statements for granted (mine included).

You are absolutely right. The IRU money is all up front. I believe it was the SEC that stepped in maybe in 1999 to make GX record IRU's as leases rather than sales for recognition purposes.
