You didn't see the informative statistic on hand wringing, or the reference to the famous quote "abstinence makes the heart grow fonder?"

"15 million new cases annually It informs us that the illegitimate relationships people have present a cost to the people outside of those relationships. Other statistics such as the percent of unwanted child births (38% in Washington state) also inform us of a cost to society. Not just economically but in terms of the quality of life available to our citizenry as a result. I am aware that such relationships add a great negative burden on the lives of the participants and their significant others. In direct opposition to the fallacious and pointed comments made by you and X on the subject. If you can show us evidence that your standard of encouraging sexual relations during the "Going steady" stage of relationships does not impact these statistics, I will be impressed. Or that your definition of "going steady" is even a standard for people who identify them selves as going steady. On the other hand, I can assure you that abstinence until marriage harms no one. And, in opposition to your claims the persons who choose that path generally express satisfaction in the choice.
