Any possible gains from the rebate was squelched by the democrats promise not allow the promised future REAL tax cuts to happen.

I think Feraldo is underestimating the effect of those cuts. Even if they pay down debt, that payment isd income to a lona company which can then distribute as payroll, dividends, bonuses, bill payments, etc.

HOWEVER, if that bill was intended to stimulate the economy out of this (fictional) recession, why would its biggest punch be years out.
