alomex, thanks for the important clarification.

let's think this through. assume sales for aluminum skyrocket. shouldn't that raw material lead to increased revenues somewhere else and, therefore, get included into productivity figures? is more raw material for the sake of having more raw material *really* an economic productivity enhancer?

if it doesn't create revenue down stream, why should economic productivity be concerned with it?
