I would be happy to. Barrett predicted there was going to be a seasonal pick up in sales. That seems very consistent with the article:

Intel Corp., trying to bolster demand for its Pentium 4 processor, may chop prices this month and in October, as computer makers such as Dell Computer Corp. prepare for a holiday buying rush, analysts said.

You are wrong to call Barrett a liar. How would you feel if people called you a liar?

albert, perhaps Barrett's "sales have picked up" statement is an indication that July sales were higher than June's. Of course, the seasonal norm might be a 10% increase, so if Intel got a 1% increase, is that a "pick up?"

His statement also flies in the face of the statement from JJ that there would be a couple more months of declining sequential sales.
