Truly an amazing attempt to re-write history. Anyone who claims that Pius actually was pious in his actions really is justified only posting on a bankrupt stock board. Of course, comparing Pius to FDR, in light of recently released secret documents, is an attempt to give praise by comparing low-level efforts. FDR was not as bad as Pius in that Pius actually had an audience who could do something. (Words at certain times would have been more powerful than bombers which failed to take out concentration camps.) I won't really argue who was worse. It is true that FDR put his head in the sand. But Pius had his head somewhere else.
