This argument is getting circular. the future is not certain until it's the present, and by the time you can react to the present, it is the past.

Or, as I recall stenciled on the Oerlikon 20mm AA guns on the USS Alabama, "LEAD, Dammit! LEAD!" (For the ballistically challenged, "leading" means aiming ahead of a moving target to where you think it will be.)
