What amazes me is how these guys have learned to fine tune their messages enough to get voted in as majorities at times. I guess you have to be smart that way, when the alternative is that the voters discover that their representatives actually are mainly interested in benefiting the top 5%, but they still need a majority vote to win.

Really, I'm a moderate, no fan of extremes on either side. I prefer that at least one branch of govt be held by the opposing party, to maintain the balance. But without any demos in power (as we briefly, unbelievably saw after the 2000 election theft - just think, with the accurate count, both the presidency and Senate would have been Democrat), you see the big boys running both the corporations and the government (which then becomes a branch of the corporations). Not good for the little guy at all.

The economic flushing is just beginning, however, and unfortunately or not, that will finish off the current white house occupant. Not likely to be pretty for the rest of us either, though.
