They were at about 22%-23% without notebooks or servers.

Add in 22.5% of notebooks (if notebooks are about 30% of the market) and you add 6.75% of the total market taking you to 29%. Add in 10% of the SMP workstation / SHV server market (figuring that at 10% of the total market and you are at 30%.

And now your ASPs are being increased by the more lucrative notebook and workstation / server sales.

At the same time, Intel can no longer subsidize desktop APSs with notebook/workstation sales - AMD is putting pressure on Intel everywhere.

4 million chips on 180nm per month isn't enough? What about when it's 130nm? (of course that's down the road several months. Palomino's only 70mm^2 and Hammer is 105mm^2 on 130nm.

I think Fab 30 is more ready for the task then you think, and we're not even taking in the fact that Fab 25 can produce many duron/morgan's up to at least 1.2Ghz.
