I am not much of a letter writer...mostly I just stew:)

I suspect the author of the article is a hypocrite. Does he own anything made from materials that were mined? So many environmentalists are hypocrites that they are easy to ignore. America has been indirectly exporting their pollution for years by artificially raising the costs of producing certain items. The greenies pass laws here, the stuff is made elsewhere and then imported and the greenies are happy to buy it...

It is just another twist of the "not in my backyard" syndrome. Everybody needs garbage dumps, but nobody wants one in their backyard.

However, I would respect the author if he lived in the woods eating berries, dressing in leaves, and living in a cave.
