If things do get privatized, the government needs to stop the deluge of regulations they attach to it. Look at the idiocy displayed in California with electricity. They tried to control every single step that utilities could make, essentially bordering on communism, and then the state is now in deep trouble. To top it off, the idiot government of California is trying to put the blame on the utilities. Charging too much my arse. Supply and demand. The gment limited supply, demand at record levels, other utilities are going to charge more. If they would have kept their hand out of it in the first place, all the utilities in California wouldn't be under chapter 11 and would have built more plants due to a higher income and the whole "crisis" would have been avoided. But no, lets put our hands in everything says Cfornia.
