Vix has shown some signs here of negative divergence. Yesterday, the Nasdaq closed up but the VIX upticked. That was a hint of today's reversal after my pattern posting. What is more interesting is that the market was selling off nicely this morning, the VIX was trending down for a good portion of it and was posting readings below yesterday's close. Another negative divergence. Tells me there is too much complacency about this decline. And, as I have posted before, there seems to be too much complacency overall that we are bouncing along the bottom here and looking for a base to work higher from. I think this decline could be nasty over the next week.
