"I hope so. I sold over half my AMD holdings this week at an average of 19.2, and shorted INTC at an average of 31.9. "

It's certainly not fundamentals that are supporting INTC at $32 and if the current euphoric bout of investing turns sour once again, $32 might look a little pricey...The caveat though is that a strong INTC is good for the general market tone and "other" factors (i.e non-fundamental) seem to be at play in propping up the INTC price at the moment.

Got a kick out of the manic market response to Barrett's comment that INTC expects a seasonal uptick in q3 and q4...Pretty benign call given the historically low q2 comparison benchmark...Pretty scarey thought if that weren't to occur...Even given a "seasonal" uptick in q3 and q4, which despite the high degree of historical support, may or may not occur according to some, it is not at all a given that INTC, with its plummeting P4 ASP's will be able to stay away from red in q3 and q4...At least AMD has already painted this potential red ink scenario...Look out when INTC paints the similar outcome potential in its mid August update!
