Semi-detached because I haven't seen his face on TV for more than 10 seconds at a time since January. No press conferences, no major speeches.

Not giving press conferences is not a great idea if you want press coverage. It just gives the impression that you're not up to the job. As for "liberally biased enemies" -- yeah, I really remember how they used to savage Reagan. Not. He just knew how to handle the press.
