Then I guess the sooner they start drilling and pumping the sooner we can close all the drilling and get back to nature.

Good point...let's just get it over with -- six months & we're out of there.

The "6 months supply" refers to an estimate that the ANWR could supply all of the US's oil needs for 6 months. However it would take more then 6 months to get the oil out of the ground so it would actually do something more like provideing 5% of US oil needs for 10 years or maybe a lower percentage for an even longer time.

re: However, it certainly is more than the "6-month supply" the liberals are saying ...

Six months? Then I guess the sooner they start drilling and pumping the sooner we can close all the drilling and get back to nature.

I am glad to see you all are well informed. Its going to take ten years to get the oil out which is estimated to be sufficient to keep the US going for 6 mos. And there is no guarantee that recovery is economically feasible.

But that's okay...do I hear pork by Bush?
