Brings to mind what ole Dickson G. Watts says in "Speculation As A Fine Art":

"Pliability: The ability to change an opinion, the power of revision. 'He who observes,' says Emerson, 'and observes again, is always formidable."

He also says, "When in doubt, do nothing. Don't enter the market on half convictions."

And: "The man who makes a positive assertion is -- positively wrong."

"If you know, you have already fallen into error."

"Not how much you can make, but how much you can lose."

"None so blind as those who are sure they see."

"The more points of view, the better the point of view."

"To go with the market, even when the basis is a good one, is dangerous. It may at any time turn and rend you."
