Today congressman W. Coyne(D) of Pittsburgh Pa announced that he was not going to run for re-election.

In actuality, the southern part of his district is going to be combined with Congressman Doyles (D) and the northern part with Melissa Harts (R) due to redistricting. Doyle or Coyne had to go. Harts district (Which I live) is heavily GOP.

Most of the states that have gained 2 seats are Republican controled, so they will have power over the redistricting. (CA the exception). This is anticipated to be basically a reversal of what the Democrats did in the 1991 redistricting process.

There were several articles discussing how this stuff was likely to go a while back. Should be easy enough to find.

Most of the states that have gained 2 seats are Republican controled, so they will have power over the redistricting. (CA the exception). Same is true for most of the states that gained 1 seat as well. This is anticipated to be basically a reversal of what the Democrats did in the 1991 redistricting process.
