Whoops. Wrong Bunning. His son probably doesn't even remember. I think it was a beanball contest. The Senate could have spent most of September on it.

Only reason Bunning was elected to Hall of Fame was because of the fact he was elected a congressman, then later a senator, after he hung up his jockstrap. He never should have been elected to the Hall. Never won 20 games in a season. Never played for a pennant winner. Was also part of the famous Phillies collapse in '64.
