It was all over the tube today in Europe on CNBC Europe. They actually had the prediction that the US markets would crash 20% on Tuesday of next week.

Don't you just love nice, orderly 20% one day corrections....

Hi John,
I caught mention of that news clip yesterday on another thread, except it was posted in German...ggg
Well, while I am thinking today's action on the compx daily has ruined the chart as far as the ST uptrend goes, and that I was expecting a high within two trading sessions of 8/4 FM,
I would nevertheless be a bit skeptical of market crash predictions. Doesn't mean it can't happen....
I try not to get carried away with my own predictions (we all "predict", otherwise we would not "invest") and don't take too seriously other "far-out" prognostications either. Nobody really knows for sure what the markets are going to do exactly, or even how the markets will react to "known" news for that matter. We all try to make educated guesses based on our own forms of analysis...but that call goes beyond the realms of "educated guess", IMO.
Call me stupid, but I went long again below my exit point and thinking a retest of the break-point around 2074 is likely. It's not a smart bet perhaps to go long on an expectation of downward bias over the days to come, but I guess sometimes I occasionally feel tempted to play with fire. Sometimes I even make $ too! LOL I think I'll be OK unless we start crashing Monday!
Agree that you are sitting pretty in cash and in a fine position to maneuver any way you feel based on what actually comes down.
Best of luck to us all!
Regards,
Eichler

John,
Do you have any way to determine if that report from
"Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein" is a legit report?
Does that individual or company actually exist? I am wondering if that thing is a hoax.
TIA
Eichler
