Dear Jim:

If this analyst is accurate, Intel sales must have fallen through the floor this quarter. The most P4s Intel could make at this time is around 4-5 million (by the end of the Q2 Intel was to have made 4 million and 8 million in Q3 by the the current higher speed ramp), thus, 30% means that 5/0.3 or 16 million CPUs be Intel's portion for this quarter versus 27 million last quarter. That would give AMD about 33% unit market share right now. This would be the same at Q4 of 12 million / 60% or 20 million. And AMD would be still be at 33%. Obviously his market share figures are wrong in the percentages of P4. Otherwise, AMD has reached its unit market share goals and Intel is looking at a serious loss for Q3 of around a billion dollars or $0.15 a share.

No! I do not think that Intel is that bad this quarter. Thus, his figures are absurd!
