The President should not be quizzed under oath about his sex life.

Why not? The USSC decided it was permissible. That's the way the US system works. The questions were authorized under a statute Bill Clinton signed into law.

Why not? He was President, not King....

If your congressman will lie and cheat on his wife, then he will lie and cheat you right out of your boxer shorts..........character makes a difference, Demo or Republican. If I get wind of my congress person doing that, I will vote their butts right out of work.

"so he tried to pick up a girl, we know he's a womanizer, so what?"

I can't make my point any better than you just did. My point is that it is a shame America feels that way. I can see horny guys like Clinton saying that, but can't figure out why so many the women of America do.

"if you're for women's independence you must also be for women's responsibility for their own actions, not patronize them as children or simpletons"

I agree and disagree. I agree that women are responsible for their own action, but I don't think it is treating them as simpletons to say something along the lines of my earlier post, which was:

Watch out for creepy pigs like Clinton and Condit.

The womens groups sheepishly said what you just did (they are responsible for their own actions) when pressed, with very little condemnation for the men.

Oh well. That's America today.
