let's gorilla waste the money developing new standards for 10 years from now while amd will be using ht NOW :-))
I hoped that would do something like that but was afraid that Jerry's pride would stand in a way.
Intel ended up as a fool here

Lol, you are so funny. There was no competing approach. The media (and you) had tried to make it appear like HyperTransport is competing in the same segment as 3GIO. It isn't. It never was. There's a big difference, from an electrical point of view, between a chip-to-chip interconnect and a chip-to-"card" interconnect. If you can't see the difference, I'm sorry.

The only technology that competed for the "PCI 3.0" slot with Intel's 3GIO was PCI-X. And, frankly, PCI-X isn't much to get excited about.
