Art Cashin explains the crash article you posted. It was written by some German analyst. Dresdner has already come out to try to explain.

Knight, That article hit the nail on the head! Its those factors and others that say we are not even close to a bottom and just perhaps we are at the TOP of the range in both markets!!

Sept-Nov will tell the full tale and my bet is we break 1600 like a hot knife threw butter fat! The same goes for 8500 on the DOW!

I for the last year and 1/2 have been putting my family into treasury notes, bills, and I-BONDS! I actually cashed out my daughters trust fund that was tied up in Mutual funds in Feb 2000, (BY LUCK ONLY)

I believe rates are heading much lower perhaps to 5-5.25 within the next2-3 years.
