"Paula Jone's case should have had to wait until Clinton left office. This is the same level of protection that army officers have, for goodness sake -- the suit must wait until their tour ends." While I agree that it was a bad idea for the trial to go forward, it did bring to everyone's attention that he was a pathological liar. Not that I was happy to find that out about our president. However, soldiers are afforded their protection by an act of Congress known as the "Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Release Act" Congress has not provided this protection for the President. Little joe

The people of the United States have a right to know if their President is a crook. Should the legal actions against Nixon have waited until he was out of office? What's the difference?

Nope. Clinton was President, not King. Although it was obvious he disagreed, he was not above the law just like any other citizen.... JLA
