Rande, I do think their are many people who bought near the highs of many issues who have never sold. They are only now becoming aware of their fate. My point is that the market will recover very slowly in the future. Many issues will never see their highs again. Some will sell later this year for a tax loss, but many will be to embarrassed to admit their mistake. I take some ribbing for my rapid buying and selling, but I least I don't get caught holding the bag. As for the media, we have to recognize that headlines sell. We only have ourselves to blame for buying into the hype. I say short the hype and buy the doom and gloom.
