>>As Kyros noted earlier, fascism is a reaction to deflation

Oblomov said that. Thanks for all your observations CB.

<But wait! There's an antidote! Electronic money knows no borders, and doesn't have any politician's face stamped on it. Can the Internet save us from ourselves? Or will the divide between those who use electronic money and those who use the paper that has politicians' faces printed on it just widen? Are there more of us or more of them? >

Excellent case for "E-Gold"!! Electronic currencies still have politicians [or in many cases in Europe other notables] faces on them... but not E-Gold.

Hi CB, I may arguably be the experiential authority on hard communism (DJ on soft communism) for our thread, and ...

<<the argument ... Communism is international socialism. Fascism is national socialism>>

... and I observe that the former may happen should globalization agenda in its current form play out. The latter may happen still, as a reaction :0(

<<antidote ... Electronic money knows no borders ... Internet save us from ourselves?>>

Maybe, if all nations are forced to value-added tax from the current self-declaration systems, and have to live in fear of the global community and their own national population voting with their nation-less money transportable via broadband. The US and some in Europe are trying to plug all the holes, first by removing the "freedom of identity" and neuter the off-shore banking nirvanas. First they want to know who you are, place a diagramatic design on you, then they know where to come get you. The script, an ancient one, runs the same way each time.
