Victor: The funniest part is that most of the participants got away with it for a few years and will never do any jail time -- unfortunately at the expense of those who were convinced by them to "believe" in the new economy. It will be hard to invent a sucker's bet any bigger than the "new economy" as defined by low the iq, low ethics stock pushers. In this context I take some consolation in the thought that a handful of the marginal proponents -- and we have seen some of this on SI -- might actually have been stupid enough to "buy and hold".
