If your line of reasoning is that information technology CAN be used to make things far better, then I agree. If your reasoning is that this is mostly the case, I find it hard to see the evidence of this. All I can say is that I've been in this computer business for a long time, and after we are done installing a system it is not uncommon to see 25-100% return on investments on computer equipment. How else do you think we manage to keep on selling computer after computer, software package after software package for the last 50 years? If it was a scam, they would have caught on long ago.
