JFS, There is only on God, consisting of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. If you don't believe this, so be it, but nothing you have said is backed up by fact. Conjecture? Yes, but no fact. Angels are not gods, and Satan is a fallen angel that was kicked out of Heaven by God. What "all kinds of supernatural beings" do I fear, or worship. You know nothing of my worship but, I worship the one God comprised of the three Holy entities. I pray, only, to the one God, and do not pray against any other entity. God will take care of all the evils that might concern me, so I do not fear them. "Satan Is Alive And Well On Planet Earth" is the title of a book you, obviously, know nothing about. The evil purposes of Satan are manifest in many of the societal ills of today, which is what I meant. Who knows what Satan looks like. I, certainly, do not believe he looks like some doofus in a red suit, with a forked tail, and goat's horns on his head. IMO, Satan can disguise himself in many ways, as can the angels, and God himself.
What I do, and do not, take literally in the Old Testament is none of your business but, scientific evidence is piling up that the great flood, and the ark, are factual. I don't compile links, or titles, about these things, because that do not matter to me. What matters is that they confirm the accounts in the Bible.
Thomas Jefferson was a great inventor, but has never been considered an expert on the Bible, or biblical events. Jesus began preaching when He was 14 years old, and did not stop until his death. Because there is a time gap in Biblical reference does not mean that He did not preach. There are many accounts in legend form of His appearance in many parts of the world unknown the those in the confines of Judea, and the Middle East.
The books by the Apostles, were scribed soon after the crucifixion, and ascension of Jesus. After that time, the apostles, in most cases, split up and went their separate ways to preach the Gospel, and yet the books of Mark, Mathew, Luke, and John, are basically in complete agreement. Sounds like they saw, and heard, to me.
I hate no one in the literal sense of the word hate. In today's language the word "hate" is used much too often in the place of minor displeasure. As another quote goes, paraphrased, I may disagree with what you say, but will defend, to the death your right to say it. That being said, I will not be remiss in arguing with your thoughts, and words.
I have answered your questions about my Faith as completely as possible, so that subject is now settled between you, and me, whether you are satisfied or not. I WILL NOT fight to the death for you satisfaction. Quite the opposite. |
